Protection level of low voltage switchgear

The protection level of low-voltage switchgear is an important technical parameter of any switchgear. The protection level is generally marked with IPxx. So when we design the switchgear, how to set the protection level of the switchgear?

For general low-voltage switchgear, the default protection level is IP30 or IP40.

The IP protection of low-voltage switchgear has two purposes: one is to prevent staff from inadvertently touching live parts, and the other is to prevent the electrical equipment installed in the cabinet from being damaged by dust and water.
