Basic structure of prefabricated substation

May 18, 2022

The prefabricated substation is generally a box-type structure, with three parts: a high-voltage switch compartment, a transformer compartment and a low-voltage distribution switch compartment.

The specific structure of the prefabricated substation is as follows:

1. The box body of the prefabricated substation is made of metal materials and non-metal materials.

2. The transformer room adopts natural ventilation and automatically controlled forced cooling air cooling device.

3. Doors should be installed on the high and low voltage sides of the substation, and should have sufficient dimensions.

4. The high-voltage side should meet the "five preventions" requirements of preventing mis-closing (opening) the circuit breaker, preventing live pulling (closing) the disconnect switch, preventing live hanging ground wire, preventing power transmission with ground wire, and preventing mistakenly entering the live interval.

5. Generally, the high-voltage side of the American box substation adopts a fully insulated and fully enclosed design, and an oil-immersed load switch is used.
