How to select internal equipment for box type substations?
1、 Selection of high-voltage side receiving equipment
For small and medium-sized power users, their high-voltage load switches are often used to break normal load currents, and there are very few cases of users breaking short circuits. Therefore, when designing 10KV prefabricated substations, high-voltage load switches and fuse combinations are usually used to replace high-voltage circuit breakers, which can greatly improve the overall investment and economic benefits. Compared with the combination of high-voltage circuit breakers and high-voltage load switches with breaking containers, they not only have a higher cost, but also have a larger overall size, making them unsuitable for phase change structures with relatively compact internal spaces.
2、 Selection of Transformers
Energy saving dry type distribution transformers are usually selected for box type substation transformers. The capacity of distribution transformers should be selected based on the characteristics of power load and operation mode. The design capacity of a single distribution transformer should not exceed 1250kVA. If the statistical load capacity is large, it is recommended to choose the automatic switching operation scheme of two transformers. Dry type transformers do not require inspection of characteristic parameters such as oil level, oil temperature, oil quality, and oil pressure. They are also known as maintenance free distribution transformers. In addition, they have advantages such as flame retardancy and explosion-proof, making them the preferred transformer type in the design of box type substations.
3、 Selection of low-voltage distribution parts
Box type substations have a high level of internal integration, and their primary circuit is relatively simple, usually only including incoming, outgoing, and compensation functions. Therefore, in order to reduce the occupied area of low-voltage cabinets inside the box transformer, the layout structure of low-voltage electrical appliances should be optimized. Multifunctional universal circuit breakers should be selected in the main circuit, which can be manually and electrically operated as automatic low-voltage feed switches. They should be equipped with overload long delay, short circuit short delay, and short-circuit instantaneous protection, as well as various automatic releases and auxiliary structures such as voltage loss and shunt, to form a relatively complete comprehensive protection system
