Frequently asked questions about transformer selection
Oct 26, 2021
1. It is necessary to know the current required by the equipment, the actual output power of the user and the conditions of the subordinate occasion (such as the transmission distance, the pressure drop should be considered when it is too far). Generally, it is considered from the dry-type transformer volume, current, current flow and environmental conditions. Among them, the volume selection should be based on the output power, type and use time of the user's power equipment (a period of time should be added to the equipment) to confirm the required load, and the transformer capacity should be selected for this purpose.
2. When the transformer is in normal operation, the electrical load borne by the transformer is about 70-80% of the short-circuit capacity of the transformer. In operation, when it is actually measured that the transformer actually bears less than 50% of the load, a small-volume transformer should be replaced. If the short-circuit capacity of the transformer is exceeded, the transformer of the capacity should be changed first.
3. When selecting the transformer capacity, determine the input current value of the transformer according to the route, and select the output current value according to the power consumption equipment. It is best to choose the bottom voltage three-phase four-wire system (three-phase five-wire system) power supply system. This can provide industrial electricity and general lighting electricity at the same time.
4. For the selection of the amount of current, pay attention to that the load must meet the requirements of the equipment when starting (note: the starting current of the motor, refrigeration compressor, air compressor, etc. is 4 to 7 times larger than that during normal operation).
