Composition of high voltage switchgear

Apr 26, 2021

High voltage switchgear refers to the function of on-off, control or protection in the power generation, transmission, distribution, power conversion and consumption of the power system. The high voltage switchgear is used as an electrical product with a voltage level of 3.6 kV to 550 kV. High-voltage isolating switch and grounding switch, high-voltage load switch, high-voltage automatic recloser and sectioning device, high-voltage operating mechanism, high-voltage explosion-proof power distribution device and high-voltage switch cabinet, etc.

Components of high voltage switchgear

1. Electrical device part

Electrical installations mainly refer to the equipment of substations and distribution substations, and power and lighting distribution boxes scattered on the spot.

Such as: dry-type power transformers, complete sets of high-voltage and low-voltage power distribution cabinets, DC cabinets for control operation (with batteries), standby uninterruptible power supply cabinets, lighting distribution boxes, power distribution boxes (cabinets), power factor capacitor compensation cabinets, and standby Diesel generator sets, etc. Xiangtai Electric-High Voltage Switchgear

It is characterized by a combination of electrical components with independent functions. The rated voltage is mostly 10kV or 380V/220V, and the voltage is only 24V or 12V in the control system.

2. Wiring system part

The composition of the wiring system: wires, cables and busbars; a combination of fixed parts (for wires, cables and busbars) and protection (for wires, cables and busbars);

The role of the wiring system: mainly plays the role of power transmission.

Most of the wiring systems in building electrical engineering have a rated voltage of 380V/220V.

3. Electrical part of electrical equipment

The electrical part of the electrical equipment: mainly refers to the part that directly consumes electricity and converts it into other energy, such as electric drive, electric heating, electric lighting, etc., with other building equipment.
