Operating temperature of oil immersed transformer
When the oil immersed transformer is working, it is necessary to ensure that the working temperature will not cause the transformer oil to deteriorate too quickly, thus increasing the operating cost. When the operating temperature of the oil immersed transformer reaches 85 degrees Celsius, an alarm will be triggered. When the maximum temperature reaches 95 degrees Celsius, the switch of the transformer will be turned off.
Therefore, it is stipulated that the oil temperature at the upper working temperature of oil immersed transformers cannot exceed 85 ℃. The rated capacity of a transformer refers to the maximum power allowed for long-term continuous operation when the transformer can achieve economically reasonable efficiency and normal expected service life under the specified environmental temperature. The specified environmental temperature for transformers is a maximum temperature of 40 ℃, a maximum daily average temperature of 30 ℃, a maximum annual average temperature of 20 ℃, a minimum temperature of -25 ℃ for outdoor transformers, and -5 ° C for indoor transformers.
According to operating experience and specialized research, when the insulation temperature of the transformer winding is within the range of 80-140 ℃, the insulation life loss doubles and the service life decreases by half for every 6 ℃ increase. This is the 6 ° C rule for transformer operation. The maximum allowable temperature for long-term operation of transformer windings is the normal service life temperature, and the maximum allowable value for winding hot spot temperature is the safe temperature.
In order to achieve the most economical service life of insulation materials, they are divided into different heat resistance levels such as Y, A, E, B, F, H, C, etc. based on their maximum allowable working temperature.
