How to choose high voltage switchgear?
Nov 25, 2020
High-voltage switchgears are mainly divided into two types: fixed type and trolley type. They are divided into open type, semi-closed type and closed type in structure. In terms of use environment, there are key points for indoor and outdoor. There are electromagnetic operating mechanism, spring operating mechanism and manual operating mechanism in the operating mode. So how should we choose the high-voltage switchgear we need?
1. When choosing a high-voltage switchgear, it is necessary to decide whether to choose an internal or outdoor type according to the use environment. According to the number of switch cabinets and reliability requirements, determine whether to use fixed or trolley switch cabinets. The fixed switch cabinet is cheaper, but not as flexible as the trolley type. For substations that require lower reliability and fewer switch counters, you can try to use fixed switch cabinets to reduce prices.
2. The main design of the high-voltage switchgear should be determined according to the high-connection design. For the main plan of the switchgear, please refer to the relevant electrical manual. Consumers need to select or design secondary wiring by themselves in accordance with the requirements of control, metering, protection, and signaling. After selecting the high voltage switch cabinet, check whether the main components in the cabinet are faulty according to the use conditions and short circuit conditions.
3. When selecting the operating mechanism, it should be determined according to the working power supply of the substation. If there is a DC power supply, please try to use an electromagnetically operated high voltage switchgear. It is relatively simple to adopt a manual operation mechanism in a small substation, but the ability of high-voltage switchgear to cut off current will be relatively weak.
4. The information that should be provided to the manufacturer when ordering high-voltage switchgear usually includes:
1) High-voltage switchgear model, primary circuit diagram number, substation secondary wiring diagram and supporting operating mechanism;
2) Layout drawing of high voltage switch cabinet;
3) The secondary wiring diagram and wiring diagram of the high-voltage switchgear; if the centralized plan of the secondary wiring standard diagram is selected, the plan number and control circuit voltage should be indicated; 4. When ordering, it is necessary to indicate whether it needs to be in the cabinet Install various equipment and indicate the transformation ratio of the current transformer;
5) If you need to use non-standard primary and secondary circuit schemes or entrust the manufacturer to design, you can negotiate with the manufacturer to make sure you buy it.
When selecting a high-voltage switchgear, it is necessary to make a selection according to the design plan, and to select a suitable high-voltage switchgear in combination with investment costs and operating mechanisms.
