How to solve the automatic tripping of the transformer?
Apr 12, 2022
1. When the transformer trips, first confirm that the high and low voltage side switches of the transformer have tripped, otherwise manually disconnect it. If there is a spare transformer, it should be put into operation quickly. If there is a bus tie switch, check whether the bus tie switch is automatically switched successfully. Otherwise, confirm that there is no busbar protection action, and it is possible to manually close the contact switch once.
2. Check the transformer body and primary circuits on the spot to check whether there is smoke, fire, burnt insulation smell, short-circuit discharge traces and switch protection action.
3. If the main transformer and high-power transformer automatically trip, the generator will be disconnected, and the power switching situation of the factory will be checked immediately. If the power switching device of the factory does not act, confirm that the switches on the low-voltage side of the high-power transformer are all disconnected, and confirm that the 6kV bus has no protection action. In the case of checking that the 6KV bus has no obvious fault, it can be manually switched once. If not successful, do not cut again.
4. Determine whether the transformer is an internal fault or an external fault according to the action of the protection device, the oscillogram and the symbol when the transformer trips. If the inspection proves that it is caused by human factors, external short circuit, transformer overload or secondary circuit fault, protection false tripping, etc.
If the transformer is out of power and the insulation is qualified, test delivery is allowed. If it is found to be an internal fault, inspection and tests should be carried out to find out the fault. After the internal fault of the main transformer trips, the submersible pump should be stopped immediately.
