Amorphous Alloy Electrical Transformer
Amorphous alloy transformer is a low-loss and high-efficiency power transformer with iron-based amorphous metal as the iron core. The iron loss (ie no-load loss) of amorphous alloy transformers is 70-80% lower than that traditional transformers which generally use silicon steel as the iron core. It is an ideal low-loss energy-saving transformer at present. Because of low losses amorphous alloy transformers generate less heat .The temperature rise is low and the running performance will be very stable.
1、 What is an oil immersed transformer?
Oil immersed transformer, also known as oil immersed transformer, is a transformer device that uses oil cooling to reduce the temperature of the transformer. Unlike dry transformers, the main body of an oil immersed transformer is installed in a welded steel oil tank filled with insulating oil. When an oil immersed transformer is in operation, the heat from the coil and iron core is first converted into insulating oil and then into cooling medium. According to the capacity, it can be divided into immersed Free cooling transformer and immersed forced air cooling transformer.
2、 The structure and working principle of oil immersed transformers
Oil immersed transformers are structurally similar to transformers It is one of the types of transformers classified according to the insulation form of the iron core. Therefore, it has recognizable features of oil immersed coils, which can reduce the heat map of the equipment inside.
The basic components of the oil immersed type are composed of magnetic cores, windings, and bushings. The magnetic core provides a path for magnetic flux. The winding creates a magnetic field consisting of a conductor coil wound around an iron core and insulated with a cardboard barrier and shielding layer. The thickness of the winding insulation layer increases with increasing voltage. The bushing connects the transformer winding to the substation.
Oil type transformers are used for power distribution or substations. Their core and coils are immersed in oil, which can cool and insulate. Oil circulates through the pipes in the coil and around the coil and iron core components through convection. The oil is cooled externally by the fuel tank at low rated values, and by an air-cooled radiator at high rated values.
